Subject: Wrestling Movie “The Hammer” about Ohio native and NCAA Wrestling Champion, Matt Hamill, being released today!
Dear Members of the Ohio High School Wrestling Coaches Association,
My name is Tal Levitas and I am part of the team working on the new wrestling film about three-time NCAA Wrestling Champ Matt Hamill, THE HAMMER. It plays in theaters tonight and on Wednesday, November 2nd as well.
The movie tells the inspirational story of deaf wrestler and UFC fighter Matt Hamill and how he persevered to become the first deaf NCAA national champion in wrestling. THE HAMMER focuses on his early life and the path that Hamill took to become a champion. The film features many scenes that focus on wrestling and the progression of Matt’s career from elementary school and high school in Loveland, Ohio through college.
The movie stars deaf actors Russell Harvard (There Will be Blood) and Shoshannah Stern (Weeds) and has been praised by UFC president Dana White and TapouT CEO Dan Caldwell as a must see film. It is rated PG-13 and is great for older kids and adults. To see the trailer and to get more information on tickets, go to thehammerfilm.com
You can click here to find the screenings and showtimes near you.
If this sounds like it will interest the members of your organization, we would love to have you pass on this information to your members!
Thanks so much for your time,
Tal Levitas
